I always saw Clayton's love as smothering, manipulating.This book is very much like the author's earlier work that I had read and loved. Mephisto gave Molly room to recognise her potential.
He also gave Molly other options to find herself and to show her own strength and autonomy.I loved the scene towards the end with Lorna, Molly and Mephisto, I won't give any spoilers but those who have read this book will know.Molly and Mephisto were like a jigsaw, they complemented each other so well. I'm glad that the author showed his capacity to love and care for Molly. I loved Mephisto in this book, he was strong and caring and knew Molly, what made her tick. An extremely satisfying romance.Molly really came into her own on this journey of discovery for herself. Yes, the book is BDSM but it is ultimately a romance. This was such a fitting finale to Mephisto and Molly's journey. more this series after reading Club Mephisto. Review 2: I'm so glad that I persevered with. that's saying something as I don't generally go for 24/7 Master/slave relationship stories. I would heartily recommend this book to anyone. I loved the evolution of their relationship. Her struggle was real and I sympathized with it. Same with Molly, who started out much like she'd been in the prequels and had more growing to do than anyone else. He's strong and intelligent but he's also flawed and he grows. I was drawn in and this story didn't let me go until I finished!Mephisto is a fascinating hero. These characters were real and human and interesting and complicated. Annabel Joseph is a NYT and USA TODAY bestselling author whose books explore the romance of dominance and submission. Review 1: I don't hand out 5 stars lightly! The problems I had with the previous novellas were dealt with wonderfully in this book.
